About:
Walkingstick, one of the hardest working artists in the electronic music arena, exemplifies the rewards of dedication, effort and heart as he continues to establish himself as a reputed producer/DJ/promoter/event producer extraordinaire. Dancefloors erupt into a frenzy of dancing as he takes to the decks, dropping a signature blend of funky beats that only this born crate-digger can construct. Bursting onto the scene in 1998, Walkingstick immediately won over crowds with his unique style, which blends old skool and ragga jungle, reggae, dancehall and hip-hop. He is a music addict at heart, citing hip hop, punk, jazz, funk, soul and rock as his early influences. Walkingstick originally entered the Pittsburgh electronic music scene as an event promoter, running Total Xperience Productions and churning out a slew of memorable events including No Doze, Humble, High Tide, Iceburgh, Gifted and The Wifebeater’s Ball.

These events helped Walkingstick to build a dedicated fan base that has supported him wherever he performs. He also boasts an intense touring schedule which has taken him all over the world, including New York City, Scotland (Jungle Nation), Miami, San Diego, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico and four tours of South America. His celebrity status in Brazil has landed him newspaper features in O Globo (Rio de Janeiro) and Folha de Sao Paulo, and led to his appearance as the first and only DJ from the U.S. to play “The Bass”at Club Susi in Transe, the first and longest-running all drum and bass club night in Sao Paulo, as well as the Ecosystem series, the largest annual brazilian EDM festival. In addition, he has played alongside legends such as Afrika Bambaataa, Soulslinger, TC Izlam, Adam F, DJ Rap, L Double, Danny the Wildchild and MC MC. Walkingstick impressed Carlos Soulslinger and TC Izlam enough to be offered affiliations with their respective labels Jungle Sky and Hip Step. In early 2005 Walkingstick moved to San Francisco in order to be closer to his record label Jungle Riddim, and began focusing on his production work. The hardcore/ragga dancehall label from California includes jungle veterans Oscar da Grouch, Mainframe, Red October and more. Walkingstick worked on multiple dubplates leading up to the Spring 2005 worldwide release of Jungle Riddim 003, his first vinyl for the label. He works hard promoting his release, with merchandise including stickers, lighters, music giveaways, and a new mix CD to please his legion of dedicated fans. Walkingsticks current plans include a strict concentration on production work as he prepares a second release on Jungle Riddim and another slew of dubplates continuing to assault dancefloors all over the globe.
