About:
Montreal’s most prominent Drum’n'Bass pillar; he has organized and played some of Montreal’s finest and most memorable party’s. He is best known for being Montreal’s originator of the now legendary Blue Dog Night Club, a venue which has hosted some of the topmost underground parties and artists that Montreal has had to offer since the late ’90s. Stabba is founder of Junglist®Friday’s, Montreal’s longest running Jungle/Drum’n'Bass weekly, now celebrating its fifth year anniversary and also one of Canada’s best known clubs playing host to this genre. This night, which gave world renowned Jungle DJ/Producer Krinjah his first residency, currently shines the spotlight on residents Jungle Don RCola, Lady Mayday, Dark Lord Stalker & B-Side Generic.
Through his initiative and own personal dedication, Stabba has time and time again presented Montreal Junglists with the best talent Drum’n'Bass has had to offer, all the while supporting and focusing on the Canadian/North American side of the culture. He has maintained and cultivated Montreal’s Drum’n'Bass community not merely through his extensive DJing and promotion efforts, but as well as through Montreal Drum and Breaks (www.mtldnb.com), the online community for which he is the site administrator and web master. Stabba has become THE individual at the forefront of Montreal Jungle/Drum’n'Bass, in regards to razor sharp DJing skills, his place as the leading promotions figure in the community, and his drive and perseverance to provide the Montreal Junglist with the most current, up to date and highest standards of Jungle/ Drum’n'Bass.
If you are lucky enough, you may hear him drop an original tune, though he doesn’t label himself a producer and tends to keep his beats in the vault. His mixes are as staggering as they are precious. As of lately, Stabba has been focusing on the deeper sound of Drum’n'Bass, making Neurofunk sound known to the dance floor massive. His heavy stage presence, combined with his proficiency while on the decks has yet to let a crowd down. Shivers.
